No. The game runs right in your computer's browser: open the link, sign in and start playing.
Just sign in with your Google account. Your farm, money and crops are saved on the server during the round, and your gems stay with you for good.
Each round runs Monday to Sunday. On Monday every farm starts from scratch; your placement is saved and adds points to the all-time ranking.
